DistrictCycling.com traffic is content driven. Obviously this is the slow season given the winter months and as races and news peaks during the regular cycling season, so will our content. We are looking for advertisers for our site and our Podcast. We have some conventional advertising such as banner ads or mentions on our Podcast as well as some unconventional advertising.
Conventional advertising is as follows:
Banner Ads on DistrictCycling.com
Banner Ads can range in size and content. Each Banner will be on every page of DistrictCycling.com. Cost of this can range from Pay Per Click (PPC), which DistrictCycling.com can gage, or a flat fee per month. District Cycling can gage the number of clicks your ads get regardless payment plan.
Weekly/Bi-Monthly/Monthly Product Review
Our reviews would be the real world use of your products. We ride every day in one form or another and are loyal to products that enrich our riding experience, ability to function on the bike, and perform in the capacity of enthusiasts and racers. Cost of this would vary from a flat fee to payment by product. Each written piece would have links to the product through you website. DistrictCycling.com can gage the number of clicks your ads get regardless payment plan. Product contest or giveaway is always good here too.
Podcast Advertiser
Podcast advertisement is more ambiguous than online ads due to the inability to gage the number of clicks your ads get, however, we can get a good estimate the number of people who are hearing your name and website. Content for ads can be controlled by the advertiser by either being provided in a sound byte, or by having the host(s) do the ad themselves. Each Podcast has show notes as well where links are provided for various bits of content throughout the site, and banner ads will be posted in those show notes for advertisers of the Podcast in the order they appear in the Podcast (i.e. intro ad will put your text or banner ad (you provide) at the beginning of the shownotes, outro ad will put your banner ad at the end of the shownotes, etc.). Ads vary from intro, outro and segue ads throughout the podcast.
Some unconventional advertising are as follows:
Product Review Segment on District Cycling Podcast
Product review allows us to use products that you carry in real world circumstances and review them. This segment will pay for itself in that it will be brought to you by you, provided by you, and presented by District Cycling. Any and all reference to this product will be to your site thus driving traffic to your site. Each Podcast has show notes with links to the various things we discuss, and your ads would be on those show notes. Give aways and contests will also drive participation by listeners and can be set up to drive content to your site.
Twitter Contest
Twitter Contests are a great way to drive traffic to your site. Advertising in general is give and take, and it allows us to work with advertisers in building up a greater social base. It works like this: You have a product for a give away and we Tweet it. The rules to the game are that you must follow District Cycling and You on Twitter and retweet the contest information as we have posted it. At the end of the contest, we will randomly pick a winner using online software that allows us to pick a random follower. This allows us to get info out about you, your product(s) and business thus opening up the web of information out there about you. Shipping for contest winnings can come from you, or we can send it for you for a fee of $10.
